Many thanks to all that have enquired about my health, I have appreciated all the concern and good wishes over the last 10 months.
The tumour in my throat was successfully removed in October, although it turned out to be pre-cancerous the good news is that it was confined to the thyroid gland. I had a partial thyroidectomy and have made a good recovery from the op, the nodule on the other side is being monitored but early indications are that it is nothing to worry about and the remaining side of the thyroid should be absolutely fine to leave in.
Unfortunately the next stage of my treatment is now being sorted and a hysterectomy has been recommended, I'm waiting for another scan and will have to be guided by the professionals in that respect.
The fear of being so ill was far outweighed by the sadness of having to part with my darling babies. Thankfully they are all in wonderful homes but I still miss them dreadfully and I don't think I will ever get over losing them.
Whilst I am feeling well I am hoping to pop into a couple of local shows (Northamptonshire nowadays) to catch up with friends that I haven't seen since Crufts 08.
